The Dixie Center for the Arts is proud to welcome Dauzat St. Marie Home to Ruston. The Los Angeles based duo got NCLAC’S largest fundraiser and famed beer tasting event is returning this fall! Join us October 14th for an evening of delicious beer sampling, mouth watering food, live music, and local art. ARToberfest is one of the largest beer tasting events in the area and our largest fundraiser of the year. Mark your calendars for a fun filled night of drinking beer and supporting the arts. October 14th 7 to 10pm at Ruston’s Farmers Market.

 

Household hazardous collection day is the 2nd Saturday of each month 2609 Farmerville St. 8:30AM – 11:30AM

Materials accepted are:

  • Computers, Printers, T.Vs., Phones
  • Fluorescent Light Bulbs
  • Batteries (lead-acid, NiCad, alkaline)
  • 5 Tires per individual, per vehicle, per day – no rims
  • 10 Cans of Paint, Chemicals, Aerosol
  • White goods (appliances), Furniture
  • Paper (anything that will tear)
  • Plastic Bags and Water Bottles.                       Hazardous Waste Material Collection Day is Saturday May 14th 8:30 to 11:30 AM

Ruston Farmers Market is every Saturday from 9am to 1pm. Our vendors provide high-quality, fresh, locally grown produce; plants; flowers; and value-added goods to Ruston and the North Louisiana region. All items come from Louisiana farms, farmers, and producers. 220 E. Mississippi Avenue Ruston.
